Facilities .
In its development plan, ISAE, together with its partners, developed facilities to cater for the needs of its students and staff but also to reach out to the neighboring communities as well as to improve its research capabilities. The following are some of the new developments in terms of infrastructure and facilities.
A. The Busogo Veterinary Clinic offers veterinary medicine student ample exposure to real case treatment and studies. It plays a major role in their clinical practices and internship, and offers a place for outreach activities for the neighboring communities in order to develop and improve the livestock production in the region.
B. The Busogo Milk and Meat Processing Plant offers the student of the Food Science and Technology a place for practice. It has a production Unit and a Cottage Industry development wing which serves both the ISAE and surrounding communities for a better agricultural chain management and value addition to agricultural products.
C. The Gishwati Livestock Production Center : Through the Ministry of Agriculture, ISAE acquired a 200 ha of pasture land in the Gishwati (North Western Part of Rwanda), which is used as modern farm for livestock chain management. The Farm has facilities comprising of a veterinary clinic, a milk and meat processing plant which is used both for research and development of the Institute.
