THE FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

The current Faculty of Veterinary Medicine resulted and developed its expertise from the former Faculty of Animal Sciences that used to host two departments : Animal health and Animal Production. The main mission of that Faculty was to train advanced technicians (A1 level) both in animal health and animal production. The Faculty of veterinary medicine of ISAE was created following the decision of the Cabinet held in March the 7th, 2007 chaired by His Excellency Paul KAGAME, the President of the Republic of Rwanda. Its main mission is to train skilled veterinarians and render service to the community.

Objectives of the Faculty

The overall objective of the Faculty is to train skilled veterinarians who can fully participate in the process of animal production increase and the protection of consumers. By so doing, they can participate in poverty reduction and in food security program through a sustainable animal health program.
